Doctor Albert W. Wily is the primary antagonist of the Mega Man series, being the scientist rival of Dr. Light and a megalomaniac determined to rule the world.

Much like another evil scientist, Dr. Robotnik, Wily is dangerously skilled at robotic engineering as well as hacking. His skills in creating mechanical soldiers and giving them diverse personalities proved helpful in his goal to complete his army of robots. He even invented a hardware destroying disease called Roboenza, a virus that poisons a robot's mind and turns them mindlessly violent, much like rabies.
